Coaching Staff
Beth
CrossFit Coach
Beth started CrossFit in 2014 and was very quickly hooked, finding strength she never knew she had and the confidence that comes with that.
Beth is known for holding standards and wants to help members achieve what they did not think was possible and the power of this transcends what happens inside the Box.
Kuda
Director
Kuda is a retired fighter and coaches multiple disciplines including CrossFit, Weightlifting, Functional Range Conditioning®, Boxing, and Muay Thai.
His goal is to see you fit, moving, and training well beyond your 70s and 80s.
Guy
CrossFit Coach
Guy discovered CrossFit in August 2022, at the beginning of his second year at university. Since then, he was hooked — starting off as a member, he quickly realised that part of the fun in CrossFit is helping and growing with others. True to this belief, he became a coach in less than a year!
What stands out about CrossFit to Guy is how much it can impact life both inside and outside of the box, physically and mentally. Since joining himself in 2022, he has brought his whole family — mum, dad, twin brother and younger brother — along as members.
Angela
CrossFit and Weightlifting Coach
Coach Ange has been obsessed with weightlifting for more than half her life and still pretends she can out lift everyone.
She thinks that squats cure everything and has a PhD to prove it. The first two WODs she ever did were in a competition because why die once when you can die twice.
Mike
Weightlifting and Strength & Conditioning Coach
Mike is a Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Science at the London Sports Institute, Middlesex University. He is a high-level Weightlifting and Strength & Conditioning coach, working with many professional athletes.
CrossFit Coach
Mark discovered CrossFit in 2016 shortly after his late mom was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. He was able to find a safe space to cope with his mental health, balancing his corporate career in Banking and personal pressures.
Paying it forward as a coach, Mark is a firm believer of CrossFit’s principle of “virtuosity” or in simpler terms: performing a simple movement in an excellent way. He particularly enjoys putting this into practise to help members progress their gymnastics skills.
Anna
Co-Director
Anna is currently studying for a Master of Osteopathy degree.
In addition, she is a Functional Range Conditioning® Mobility Specialist, Personal Trainer, Functional Release® Therapist, Thai Massage Therapist, and STOTT® Pilates teacher.
Owen
CrossFit Coach
Owen comes from an impressive sporting background playing rugby while he was at university. CrossFit has been his main sport since injuring his shoulders a couple of years ago.
Sustaining an incredibly active lifestyle of cycling, hiking and triathlon, Owen loves everything about cardio vascular endurance. If you are looking to up your MURPH game, he is your best bet.
Jus
Weightlifting and Strength & Conditioning Coach
Jus is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has garnered a wealth of experience spanning from young student athletes to competitive Dragon Boat and Men’s Rugby 7s teams back in Hong Kong.
Most recently, he was a full time professional coach at Cardiff Metropolitan University delivering athletic profiling tests to various athletes.
Lena
CrossFit Coach and CrossFit Kids
Lena is no rookie to the fitness industry. She has been consistently training CrossFit for a few years now where she has evolved from an everyday athlete to a CF-L1 qualified coach. On top of that, she also has Level 2 PT qualifications under her belt.
Outside of the box, Lena holds one of the most important title—a devoted mother to two beautiful kids who are both CrossFitters too. No surprise when she decided to earn her official CrossFit Kids Certificate qualification.
Gana
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Gana is a Sports Scientist and an UKSCA accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach with a proven track record in developing athletic performance.
He understands the human body from molecules to movement enabling him to develop robust solutions for sports organisations.
Gana takes pride to be a Performance Support staff of The Premiere League.
Leon
CrossFit Coach
Leon discovered CrossFit workouts on YouTube and began trying them in a conventional gym. When a workout called “Linda” left him drenched in sweat over a barbell, he was hooked. After joining Atara as a member, his love for CrossFit deepened, leading him to earn his CF-L1 and transition into a coaching role. Leon enjoys guiding members toward better movement and watching them accomplish what they once thought impossible.
